At-Home Visit Policies

Scheduling An Appointment

To schedule an appointment please give us a call at 716-379-3606 to discuss a time and date for the appointment. On this call we can discuss which services you would like to schedule for your pet or pets. Depending on the type of services requested and for what type of animal, the prices may vary.

House Call Pricing

Since we are a mobile practice, traveling to your home sets us apart from your typical brick-and-mortar veterinarian office. Since we are able to do this, fees are included in our general examination fee to help cover the travel costs. The amounts that you see below are the fees just for travel and for the exam itself. The time differences are not appointment times, but how long it will take to travel from Dr. Garofalo’s home to your home.

Should any additional services be required at the time of the examination, these services will be done at an additional fee outside of the examination + travel fees you see below. For a full list of prices, please click on the button below.

Rules of Engagement for Appointments

Canine Appointments

All dogs no matter how big or small MUST be collared and leashed upon our arrival. Keep in mind, we are strangers to your pet and entering their home. Even the kindest, gentlest pet can be unpredictable when a stranger approaches. We want to reduce stress and anxiety whenever we can.

Cat Appointments

Cats should be confined to a single room in the house with minimal furniture or placed in a crate prior to our arrival. This will reduce any anxiety your cat may experience being "chased and captured" by strangers in their home.

Equine Appointments

Owners, please be present at the time of your initial acupuncture appointment. A thorough history is important for the best outcome with respect to these treatments. Communications via telephone can be conducted for follow-ups.

Exotic Appointments

Please have your exotic pets locked in their enclosures when we arrive, especially birds. We like to observe these species in their homes to see how they are responding to their environments. These responses will give us important clues on how to treat their current conditions.
